Alex Franklyn is a trauma-informed practitioner, educator and author with over two decades of professional training in therapeutic counselling, social work and mental health practice.<\/p>

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Counselling (Leeds Metropolitan University) and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Sciences (Social Work) (University of Bradford), alongside a Diploma in Social Work, and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDR Europe and EMDR International Association-approved programmes.<\/p>

Alex has completed all three levels of EMDR training (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced), and brings a rigorous, safeguarding-led approach to trauma education, recovery and psychological resilience. She is also the recipient of a General Social Care Council Practice Teaching Award, recognising excellence in professional education and supervision.<\/p>

In addition to her clinical background, Alex is a published novelist, combining psychological insight with narrative depth.
