Wellness Film Fest to Launch at KINN in Los Angeles as BUFF Co-Chair Clare Anyiam-Osigwe Expands Into Wellness-Focused Cinema With Retreat-Style Weekend<\/span><\/h3>

LOS ANGELES, CA | February 9 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Wellness Film Fest (WELLFF), a new cultural platform exploring the intersection of film, mental health, and embodied wellbeing, will launch its inaugural Los Angeles edition on\u00a0May 2-3, 2026\u00a0at\u00a0KINN.<\/span><\/p>

Founded by the creators of the\u00a0British Urban Film Festival\u00a0(BUFF), WELLFF is led by festival director, filmmaker, and Amazon bestselling author\u00a0Clare Anyiam-Osigwe\u00a0BEM. The festival introduces a retreat-style model that blends curated film screenings with moderated conversations and wellness-led practices, creating an emotionally considerate experience designed to support reflection, emotional clarity, and meaningful human connection – particularly for founders, creatives, and cultural leaders navigating high-output environments.<\/span><\/p>

The multi-year partnership between WELLFF and KINN was formalised following this year\u2019s\u00a0Sundance Film Festival, where Anyiam-Osigwe attended industry events and conducted a Los Angeles recce to finalise plans for the festival\u2019s launch. The agreement positions KINN as the ongoing home for WELLFF\u2019s Los Angeles programming.<\/span><\/p>

Talks are already underway to host future editions of WELLFF in\u00a0Melbourne\u00a0and\u00a0Guernsey, signalling the festival\u2019s longer-term international vision and its potential to travel across creative, cultural, and wellness ecosystems globally.<\/span><\/p>

Across two days, the inaugural programme includes\u00a0Dream A World, directed by\u00a0Barry Rosenthal\u00a0and featuring\u00a0Tiffany Haddish\u00a0and\u00a0Ringo Starr, alongside\u00a0Cycles of Change, directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker\u00a0Emma Lazenby. The programme also includes\u00a0The Seventh Turn, a short film part-funded by\u00a0Matt Damon\u00a0and\u00a0Luciana Damon, further reflecting WELLFF\u2019s focus on intimate, psychologically resonant storytelling.\u00a0A wider programme of shorts and features will explore themes of trauma, resilience, emotional healing, and integration.<\/span><\/p>

Building on BUFF\u2019s 21-year legacy of championing global cinema and industry recognition, WELLFF extends its founders\u2019 commitment to storytelling into the wellness space – positioning film as a tool for emotional insight and collective understanding.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cWELLFF was created to hold space for stories that live in the body, not just on screen,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said Anyiam-Osigwe.\u00a0\u201cAfter more than two decades working closely with filmmakers, actors, and festival teams, I\u2019ve seen how often creative excellence is pursued at the expense of wellbeing. Capacity for the weekend is intentionally limited to\u00a0100 participants per day, reinforcing the festival\u2019s commitment to presence, care, and genuine connection.<\/span><\/p>
